Part One - Arriving in South Africa

Launceston to Brisbane, Brisbane to Dubai, Dubai to Johannesburg, we finally landed 24 hours later, tired but excited and overjoyed to see my good friend Eleanor Muller waiting for us as we made our way through customs. We, being myself and my 2 daughters Jess and Hannah were embarking on the mother daughter trip of a life time and when were were planning, Africa was always going to be the destination. We had finally landed. This was to be my third trip to South Africa, a place close to my heart, my first trip being back in 2013 where i spend some time Capetown before 2 weeks in Zimbabwe at Imire Conservation Ranch then finishing off back in Capetown. Followed then by another stint in 2015 taking in Kruger Park then again ending in Capetown where i have some of the nicest friends. This time i was here with my daughters, guided by Eleanor and i was so excited and looking forward to showing them why i fell in love with this place, the wildlife, the culture and the people, knowing they too would fall in love like i did.  It was late in the afternoon so a night in Johannesburg and our first meal together in South Africa was in order before we set off for our first destination Mtomeni Lodge which is part of the African Ivory Route. Let the fun begin....Stay tuned.....
